4 M aintenance and Servicing
The following instructions provide information about routine mower conditioner service. Detailed maintenance and
service information is contained in the technical manual that is available from your Dealer. A parts catalog is located
in a plastic case at the right end of the mower conditioner.
Log hours of operation and use the maintenance record provided (refer to 4.3.1 Maintenance Schedule/Record,
page 111) to keep track of your scheduled maintenance.
4.1 Preparing Machine for Servicing
CAUTION
To avoid personal injury, perform the following procedures before servicing mower conditioner or opening
drive covers:
1. Lower the mower conditioner fully. If necessary to service in the raised position, always close lift cylinder lo ck-ou t
valves. Refer to 3.1 Lift Cylinder Lock-Out Valves , page 31.
2. Disengage power take-off (PTO).
3. Stop engine and remove key.
4. Engage park brake.
5. Wait for all moving parts t o stop.
