Inspecting Cutterblade Hardware
Inspect blade attachment hardware each time blades are
changed.
1. Check and replace bolts under the following conditions:
a. Bolt has been removed and reinstalled five times.
b. Head (A) is worn flush with bearing surface
of blade.
c. Dia meter of b olt neck is worn (B) to 1 /8 in. (3 mm)
or less.
d. Bolt is cracked (C).
e. Bolt is visibly distorted (D).
f. Bolt shows evidence of interference (E) with
adjacent parts.
