OPERATION
3.13 Maneuvering/Steering the Mower Conditioner
IMPORTAN T:
The valve on the steering line must be in the open
position (handle in line with hose) for the steering system
to operate.
Steering is controlled by the tractor’s remote hydraulic
system. The hitc h p rovides the ability to do the following:
Move the mower conditioner into eld position
Make right angle turns in either direction
Steer around objects on both sides
Perform straight-line eld cutting on either side of
the tractor

1. Activate steering control lever (A) to m aneuver mower
conditioner into the desired path of travel.
a. Move lever forward to po sition (B) to steer the
mower conditioner to the right.
b. Move lever backward to po sition (C) to steer the
mower conditioner to the left.
IMPORTAN T:
Operate the steering control lever (A) only briey,
and return it to the NEUTRAL or OFF position
as soon as the mower conditioner reaches the
desired path of travel.
IMPORTAN T:
Connect hydraulic hoses so that moving the
steering control lever (A) backward steers the
mower conditioner to the left and moving lever
forward steers the mower conditioner to the right.
