reseason Servicing
CAUTION
• Review the operator's manual to refresh your memory on safety and operating recommendations.
• Review all safety signs and other decals on the mower conditioner a nd note hazard areas.
• Ensure all shields and guards are properly installed and secured. Never alter or remove
safety equipment.
• Make certain you understand and have practiced safe use of all controls. Know the capacity and the
operating characteristics of the machine.
• Check the firstaidkitandfire extinguisher. Know where they are and how to use them.
Perform the following procedures at the beginning of each operating season:
1. Lubricate machine completely. Refer to 4.4.1 Cutterbar Lubrication, page 127.
2. Check tire pressure and ad ju st as req uired . Refer to Inflating Tires, page 220.
3. Perform all annual maintenance. Refer to 4.3.1 Maintenance Schedule/Record, page 111.
4.3.4 E nd -o f-Season Servicing
Perform the following procedures at the end of each operating season:
CAUTION
Never use gasoline, naphtha, or any volatile material for cleaning purposes. These materials may be toxic
and/or flammable.
CAUTION
Cover cutterbar to prevent injury from accidental contact.
1. Clean the mower conditioner thoroughly.
