Cabling Plan
Cable Planning Worksheet
A cable planning worksheet can help facilitate the process of cabling an Oracle FS
System by providing you with a method to record the string assignments and the
rack placements of the hardware components.
The following table shows an example of a completed planning worksheet for an
Oracle FS System. The example illustrates a populated rack by showing the RU
placements of the hardware components. The example uses the following Drive
Enclosure conguration to distribute the Drive Enclosures across four strings:

Two DE2-24P Drive Enclosures with 13 400GB solid state drives (SSDs)
•
Four DE2-24P Drive Enclosures with 24 900GB hard disk drives (HDDs)
•
Six DE2-24C Drive Enclosures with 24 4TB HDDs
