Verify the Controller Service Type
Set at the factory during the conguration of an Oracle FS System, the Controller
service type denes how the Controller resources are allocated for the supported
service types. Verify that the Controller service type was set correctly for your
system.
Refer to the Release Notes for the most current list of supported service types.
1 Navigate to System > Hardware > Controllers.
2 Select a Controller.
3 Select Actions > Modify Controller Service Type.
4 From the Desired Service Type eld, verify that the seing is correct for
your system.
If necessary, update the seing. The system restarts if you update the
Service Type seing.
5 Click OK.
Update the Oracle FS System Software and Firmware
The Oracle FS System software and rmware are updated on a regular basis. To
ensure that your system has the latest versions available, update the software
and rmware.
Download Software and Firmware Updates
Download the latest software and rmware updates from My Oracle Support
(MOS) to ensure that your Oracle FS System is up to date. You can download
general availability releases, as well as patches specic to your system, from
MOS.
Prerequisite:
Log into MOS to check for the latest rmware and software updates.
1 Using your registered username and password, log in to My Oracle Support
(hps://support.oracle.com).

2 In the menu bar, select Patches and Updates.
3 In the Patch Search pane, choose one of the following search methods:
Number/Name or Bug Number (Simple)
Search for the patch name, the patch number, or the platform.
Product or Family (Advanced)
Search for the product, the release, and the platform, as well as other criteria.
