Chapter 45 DHCP Server Commands
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a network configuration protocol for hosts on
TCP/IP networks, and it provides a framework for distributing configuration information to hosts.
DHCP server assigns IP addresses from specified address pools on a switch or router to DHCP
clients and manages them.
45.1 service dhcp server
Description
The service dhcp server command is used to enable DHCP service globally.
To disable DHCP server service, please use no service dhcp server
command.
Syntax
service dhcp server
no service dhcp server
Command Mode
Global Configuration Mode
Privilege Requirement
Only Admin, Operator and Power User level users have access to these
commands.
Example
Enable DHCP server service globally:
T2600G-28TS(config)# service dhcp server
45.2 ip dhcp server extend-option capwap-ac-ip
Description
The ip dhcp server extend-option capwap-ac-ip command is used to
configure the IP address of the remote DHCP server. To delete the remote
DHCP server’s IP address, please use no ip dhcp server extend-option
capwap-ac-ip command.
Syntax
ip dhcp server extend-option capwap-ac-ip ip-address
no ip dhcp server extend-option capwap-ac-ip
