NanoSuite Explorer D
Agilent Nano Indenter G200 User’s Guide D-7
Settings Pane
The Settings pane has three default task tabs to the right of the pane, as
shown in
Figure D-7.
Figure D-7Default task tags in Settings pane
A task is a procedure that is active during a test segment. For instance,
the test segment XY GoTo commands the G200 motion system to move
at a specified speed to a specified location. As this occurs, you will want
data to be collected, which is done using tasks on the Data Collection
tab.
Three main tabs are automatically included within every test method:
• Test Segment Tab
• Data Collection Tab
• Limit Detection Tab
All other tasks must be added to the test method by selecting Insert
Task from the Insert menu.
Test Segment Tab
The Test Segment tab, shown in Figure D-8 on page D-8, reveals the
parameter values for the selected test segment. Each set type of test
segment has unique parameters. The Test Segment tab is the default task
in the Settings pane.
NOTE
If you are in simulation mode, you can copy and paste test segments
from one method to another. For more information about the simulation
mode, see
Simulation Mode in Chapter 4, "NanoSuite".
