Single-Crystal Aluminum Sample
The single-crystal aluminum sample (marker 2 in Figure 3- 22)
provided with the system consists of a polished single-crystal aluminum
specimen mounted within a stainless steel ring (indicated by the 1 in
Figure 3- 22), all of which is embedded in an epoxy puck. The puck is
1.25 inches in diameter and 1 inch in height. The primary use of this
sample is in the
"Microscope to Indenter Calibration" on page 4-55. The
