Setting Up a New User in NanoSuite
Introduction
Defining users in NanoSuite enables you to customize the interface. By
the end of this section, you will be able to:
Add a new user to NanoSuite that requires an entry password.
Specify new directories for data storage.
Define how NanoSuite appears when it starts up.
Exercise
In this exercise, you will define a user with the following characteristics:
Who has the highest privileges (for method access and data
manipulation).
For whom the preferred method XP ISO 14577 Standard Test
Method is automatically loaded at login.
Who has a password of NanoMan.
For whom all samples are stored in a specific subdirectory.
To begin this exercise,
1 Launch NanoSuite.
2 At the User Login dialog box, select Agilent from the Name
drop-down menu.
3 Click OK.
4 If you are prompted to select a method in the Open Method dialog
box, click OK.
5 Select Users… from the User menu.
6 In the Users List dialog box, click the New… button.
7 In the User Configuration dialog box, complete the General tab
information as shown in
Figure G-1 on page G-3. Adjust these
parameters as indicated:
a User Name: Joe
b Method Access Level: 9
c User Privilege: Creator
d Post Login Action: Load Default Method
