CRIUS II Packaging and external transport
4.2 Packaging and external transport
Delivery The system is delivered by means of a lift van with air suspension and a lifting
platform. During the transport it is ensured all the time that the transport crates
are not tilted or exposed to significant shocks.
Packaging All packing units that leave the AIXTRON factory are structured as follows:
• The cabinets or product groups stand on wooden pallets which can be
transported by means of a lift truck or a forklift truck
• The packing units are protected as follows:
• Layer 1: Aluminum foil wrap
• Layer 2: Bubble wrap
• Layer 3: Aluminum wrap, laminated and vacuum packed, with des-
iccant
• The individual packing units are placed in wooden transport crates
Packing symbols Depending on their content, the packing units are labeled with the packing
symbols shown below. The symbols must be observed strictly.

Unloading The forwarding agent unloads the wooden crates by means of the lift platform
of the truck. In the following, a suitable fork lift truck is used for transporting the
units.
