For actuation of CRIs / piezo CRIs using connection X7
of the EPS 118 (Fig. 3, item 10).

5.4.11 Sealing plug 1683080012
The sealing plug included in the scope of delivery is
required for performing the leak check. The sealing
plug has a M12 thread and is screwed onto the con-
nection adapter for the CRI/CRIN and piezo CRI (see
sec. 5.4.7). Tightening torque: 30Nm

i The leak test can be called up under "Options >>
Settings >> EPS 118 >> Leak test". Further infor-
mation (see section 8.2.2).
5.4.12 Protective hood
CRI/CRIN and piezo CRI testing can only be performed
with the protective hood closed. If the protective hood
is opened during the test, it is terminated. The test
must be restarted.
5.4.13 Non-Bosch CRI accessory set 1687010718
(optional accessories)
The accessory set 1687010718 contains all acces-
sories required for connecting and testing third-party
CRIs (VDO/Continental/Siemens, Denso and Delphi)
on the EPS 118.
i The following accessories are not included in the
scope of delivery of the EPS 118.
Hose assembly 1684462571
The hose assembly 1684462571 connects the VDO/
Continental/Siemens/Denso piezo CRI test oil return
to the return quantity test connection (Fig. 3, item3).

Hose assembly 1684462636
The hose assembly 1684462636 connects the test
oil return of Denso piezo CRIs to the return quantity
test connection (Fig. 3, item 3). To do this, screw the
screw neck of hose assembly 1684462636 into the
test oil return of the Denso piezo CRI with a sealing
ring A8x14 and tighten it.
