6.7 Settings

6.7.1 Setting the language
After the EPS 118 software has been launched, the
language must be set (English is preset at the factory).
1. Switch on the EPS 118 using the on/off switch (Fig.
2, item1).
The EPS 118 starts up.
2. Select <Guest>.
The EPS 118 software starts up (standard lan-
guage is English).
The start screen appears.
3. Select the (Options) button at the upper
right on the start screen.
4. Select "Settings >> Local Settings" in the menu.
5. Select the desired language (German).
6. Save the settings, and exit with <Back>.
" This completes language setting.
6.7.2 Connecting the wireless network
(WLAN)xxx
To use functions such as software updating over the
Internet or printing via a WLAN printer, the EPS 118
must be connected to a wireless network (WLAN).
1. Switch off the EPS 118 using the on/off switch
(Fig. 30, item 1).
2. Insert the WLAN USB adapter EPS 118
(Fig. 30, item3) into the USB port (Fig. 30, item 2).

3. Switch on the EPS 118 using the on/off switch.
The EPS 118 starts up.
4. Select <Guest>.
The EPS 118 software is started.
The start screen appears.
5. Select the (Options) button.
6. Select "Settings >> WLAN" in the menu.
7. Select the "OFF" button under 'Wireless & Network'
in the WLAN field.
The button switches to "ON".
Call up the WLAN symbol ( ) in the message
line to display all visible wireless networks.
8. Select the wireless network (WLAN) for which a
connection is to be established.
9. Enter the password for the wireless network
(WLAN) if required.
10. Exit with <Back>.
" The EPS 118 is connected to the wireless network
(WLAN).
