Guide rollers (fl at)
The guide rollers may
have a vertical clearance
of ≤ 0.5 mm.
Check that all fi xing screws of
the guide rollers are properly
seated.
Tighten any loose screws.
Check the guide rollers for
damage and free movement.
If the guide rollers are damaged
you must also check the guide
rails for damage.
Replace the guide rollers if
necessary (see chapter 10.4.9).
Replace the guide rails if
necessary (see chapter fi g. 59).
Check the vertical and
horizontal clearance of the
guide rollers.
Low vertical play is normal.
Replace the guide rollers if
necessary (see chapter 10.4.9).
V-guide rollers Check the vertical clearance of
the guide rollers
If necessary, tighten any loose
fi xing screws.
Check the guide rollers for
damage and free movement.
If the guide rollers are
damaged you must also check
the upper V-rails for damage.
Replace the guide rollers if
necessary (see chapter 10.4.10
or 10.4.12).
Replace the upper V-rail if
necessary (see chapter 10.4.11
or 10.4.12).
10.2.2 Inspection of upper V-rails/guide rails
1. Check the correct alignment of the upper V-rails between the section/curve
modules (see also chapters 7.5.11 and 7.5.12).
2. Make sure that the guide rails (fl at) are correctly seated in the slots of the section
modules (see also chapter 7.5.13).
3. Check the correct alignment of the guide rails (fl at) between the section/curve
modules (see also chapter 7.5.13).
4. Check the upper V-rails and guide rails (fl at) for damage and deposits.
5. Slowly move a workpiece pallet manually over the section/curve modules.
If resistance is noticeable during movement, check this position for possible
damage and deposits.
