8.2 Initial commissioning
DANGER
There is a risk of serious injury or death if the specifi cations for emergency stop
safety circuits are not observed!
The emergency stop safety circuits must meet the following specifi cations:
• Stop category 1 according to DIN EN 60204-1
The system must be surrounded entirely by a separating safety device in
accordance with DIN ISO EN 14120.
• Access doors must be electrically locked and have guard locking.
• Opening of the access door must be prevented for at least 5 seconds after the
motors of the curve and section modules have shut down.
• The required performance level in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13849 must
be PLr = d.
• It must not be possible to start up the ActiveMover with the safety door open!
CAUTION
Sudden movements, falling objects
Risk of injury caused by sudden movements and falling objects.
Make sure that the product has been installed properly by qualifi ed personnel
(see page 10) before starting it up.
NOTICE
Malfunctions due to incorrect assembly and commissioning
The product can get damaged, shortening its service life.
Start-up requires basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
The product should only be started up by qualifi ed personnel (see page 10).
Damage due to insuffi cient lubrication
The product can get damaged, shortening its service life.
Ensure that one WT is located on the transport section at least every 2 m.
Lubricate the lubricating felt of each WT using an additional 20 drops of oil
(see chapter 10.3.1).
Lubricate the upper V-rail with oil too. To do this use the same oil as for the WT.
Remove excess, dripped oil from the system.
• Before the initial commissioning or re-commissioning of a conveyor system,
carry out a risk assessment in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12100.
• According to EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, you must equip the transfer
system with EMERGENCY STOP control devices.
