11 Troubleshooting
This chapter is used for troubleshooting and repair on the ActiveMover for qualifi ed
and trained service personnel.
The AMpro confi guration program is absolutely necessary to search for and rectify
other system errors.
Troubleshooting options can be found in the AMpro confi guration program help
function.
11.1 Localizing and remedying short circuits

Short-circuit between
motor cable connection
(28 V) and motor cable
connection (0 V) or
housing (section/curve
modules)
The short circuit may be between the motor cable connection (28 V)
and the connection motor cable (0 V) or between the motor cable
(28 V) and housing (section/curve modules) connection.

Loosen and isolate one side of the ground connection line in the
curve module to which the control cabinet is connected.

2. Now measure the resistance between the motor cable connection
(28 V) and the motor cable connection (0 V).
R = ∞
The short circuit is located between the motor cable
connection (28 V) and the housing (section/curve
modules).
R < 5 Ω
The short-circuit is located between the motor
cable connection (28 V) and the motor cable
connection (0 V).
3. Disconnect the motor cable (28 V) at each end of the system.
This divides the system electrically into two parts.
4. Measure the resistance of every half of the system. The short circuit
is located in the half of the system with a resistance of < 5 Ω.
5. Loosen the motor cable (28 V) connection in the middle of the half
with the short-circuit.
6. Repeat step 4.
7. Repeat this until you have localized the section/curve module with
the short-circuit.
