F. REMOVAL OF SIDE CLUTCH SPRING
1. Remove the brake case (2).
2. Set the spring installation tool to remove the snap ring
from the side shaft.
3. Remove the spring installation tool. Then, remove the
side clutch spring and the outer spacer (its inner diam-
eter is small.)
Also, remove the inner spacer (its inner diameter is
large).

E. REMOVAL OF CAM CLUTCH AND BRAKE
CASE
1. Detach the reaping belt.
2. Remove the rubber cap and then the snap ring.
3. Remove the 101 pulley (cam clutch) by turning it coun-
terclockwise and pulling it.
<When assembling>
Apply grease to the inner side of the oil seal.
Make sure that the speci cation mark on the cam clutch
bearing unit is facing the gear case.
Insert the 101 pulley (cam clutch) while turning it coun-
terclockwise.

Apply grease to the rubber cap before installing it.
Apply liquid gasket (Three Bond 1215 or equivalent) to
the rubber cap.
Do not tap the pulley to install it.
CAUTION
(1) Spring installation tool
<When assembling>
Apply a small amount of liquid gasket to the side of the
brake case.
When installing the spacers, make sure to install them
correctly according to their sizes.
Install the snap ring to the side shaft by using the spring
installation tool.
If an excessive amount of liquid gasket is applied and it
gets on the brake plate, the brake cannot be functional.
Clearly align the brake friction plate and pressure plate
to the brake case. That will make easy to install the
case to the side clutch shaft's spline.
Do not use excessive force (such as tapping with a
hammer) during the install process.
