6.9 FIBRE OPTIC BOARD

This board provides an interface for communicating with a master station. This communication link can use
all compatible protocols (Courier, IEC 60870-5-103, MODBUS and DNP 3.0). It is a fibre-optic alternative to
the metallic RS485 port presented on the power supply terminal block, and as such is mutually exclusive
with it.
It uses BFOC 2.5 ST connectors
The board comes in two varieties; one with an IRIG-B input and one without:
