PRELIMINARY
3-3-4 Physical Inspection
Verify that the Vivid E80/E90/E95 arrived intact (visual inspection).
If the ultrasound system has been damaged, please refer to DAMAGE IN TRANSPORTATION on page
- xiii in the beginning of this manual.
3-3-4-1 System Voltage Settings
Verify that the system voltage requirements meet the available voltage on site, refer Electrical
Requirements on page 2 - 3.
3-3-5 EMI Protection
The Vivid S60N/Vivid S70N Ultrasound Unit has been designed to minimize the effects of Electro
Magnetic Interference (EMI). Many of the covers, shields, and screws are provided primarily to protect
the system from image artifacts caused by this interference. For this reason, it is imperative that all
covers and hardware are installed and secured before the unit is put into operation.
WARNINGWARNING
CONNECTING A VIVID S60N/VIVID S70N SCANNER TO INCORRECT VOLTAGE LEVEL
WILL MOST LIKELY DESTROY IT.
CONNECT THE SYSTEM ONLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VOLTAGE INDICATED ON
THE PRODUCT LABEL.
