2.21 Transportation by Trailer
While the A5 with its folding wings and removable tail tips is designed for trailering, it is not designed
to be towed on any trailer. The suspension on ICON’s A5 trailers has been designed, prototyped,
tested, revised, and retested to ensure that the shock and vibration from the trailer stay below the
design limits for all components of the airplane. Trailering the airplane on a trailer other than the one
ICON designed for the A5 will have unknown and possibly severe consequences for the airworthiness
of the A5 and is therefore prohibited.
