6.3 SMB Settings
These settings must be specified in order to use the SMB server transmis-
sion operations of the network scanning functions.

Note
Although the SMB server transmission operations are network functions
of the image controller, “SMB TX Setting” on the copier’s SMB setting
screen must be set to “ON”.
SMB Parameters
The SMB parameters are as follows:

Detail
If “SMB TX Setting” is set to “OFF”, the server transmission (SMB) func-
tions used with the network scan functions of the image controller cannot
be used. In order to use the server transmission (SMB) functions, be sure
to select “ON”.
Item Description
User Authentication (NTLM) Not used when an image controller is installed.
SMB TX Setting Select whether to use the SMB transmission setting.
NTLM Setting Not used when an image controller is installed.
