7.8 Address Book
New destinations can be registered for the scanning functions.
The menu on the Scan tab appears only when registrations by users are per-
mitted.
Registering New Destinations
Click the Scan tab, and then click “Address Book”.
New addresses can be registered in the address book.
The information to be entered is as follows:
When “E-Mail” is selected
When “FTP” is selected

Note
In order to specify an FTP destination as a host name, the DNS setting
must have been specified in the image controller’s setup screen. In the
setup screen for the image controller, select [Network Setup] – [Protocol
Setup] – [TCP/IP Setup] – [DNS Setup] to specify the setting.
Item Description
Name Enter the name of the destination (up to 24 characters).
Index Select the search word for searching destinations.
E-Mail Address Enter the destination e-mail address (up to 80 characters).

server (up to 63 characters). When entering the host name,
select the “Please check to enter host name.” check box.
File Path Enter the destination file path. (up to 80 characters).

Password Enter the password. (up to 31 characters).
anonymous Select whether to Select “ON” or “OFF”.
PASV Mode Select whether to Select “ON” or “OFF”.
Proxy Select whether to Select “ON” or “OFF”.
Port Number Enter the port number (input range: 1 to 65535, default value:
21)
