8.3 Printing With This Machine When Account Track Set-
tings Have Been Applied
When the account track settings on the copier have been specified, you must
enter a password when printing a job.

Note
If a print job is sent using a department name or password that is not a
registered account on the copier or if a job is sent without the “Account
Track” check box selected, the job is deleted without being authenticat-
ed by the copier.
When the account authentication settings are specified on the copier, the
authentication operation restriction function is in mode 2, and the authen-
tication information is not entered correctly, the applicable account is
locked and cannot be accessed.
The following procedures are described using dialog boxes from Win-
dows XP and Mac OS X.

Note
If printing is not allowed, printing cannot be performed even when used
by a registered account.
For the account track details, consult the administrator of the copier.
