6.7 E-Mail TX (SMTP) Settings
The e-mail transmission settings necessary for using the copier’s status no-
tification setting can be specified. In addition, these settings are also related
to the e-mail transmission functions used with the network scan functions of
the image controller.

Specify the settings for an SMTP e-mail transmission in order to use the
following copier functions.

Reminder
If “E-Mail TX Setting” is set to “Restrict”, the e-mail transmission func-
tions used with the network scan functions of the image controller cannot
be used. In order to use the e-mail transmission functions, be sure to se-
lect “Allow”.
E-Mail TX (SMTP) Parameters
The E-Mail TX (SMTP) parameters are as follows:

Item Description
E-Mail TX Setting Specify whether to use an e-mail transmission.
Scan to E-Mail Specify whether to use a scan transmission.
E-Mail Notification Specify whether to use the status notification function.
Meter Count Notification Specify whether to use the total counter notification func-
tion.
Detail Setting Specify the SMTP details. For details on specifying the set-
ting, refer to “SMTP Detail” on page 6-25.
Item Description
SMTP Server Address The SMTP server address used to send e-mail can be
specified. For details on specifying the settings, refer to
“SMTP Server Address” on page 6-24.
