4. Select the desired firmware version.
5. The firmware update can be started in two ways:
– Start the firmware update in SintesoWorks. Link [➙ 130]
– or
– Start the firmware update at the ↑ 'Station'. The procedure is described in
the following section.
Starting the firmware update at the ↑ 'Station' – FCC2004
1. Select 'Initiate update at station'.
 The following window is opened:
2. Set the ↑ CPU card as follows in update mode. If you are using two CPU
cards, set the main CPU card first and then the redundant CPU card in update
mode. You can set the redundant CPU card in update mode immediately after
the main CPU card.
– Briefly press the 'S8' button on the CPU card several times until a 'U' is
displayed on the LED matrix display.
– As soon as the 'U' is displayed, press and hold the 'S8' button for approx.
2 s to confirm the selection.
 A checkmark on the LED matrix display confirms the selection.
 The firmware is updated. This procedure takes up to ten minutes. The
update progress is shown on the LED matrix display.
