To deploy an AP as a stand-alone or autonomous AP:
1. Click
Maintenance
in the SCALANCE W main window.
2. Click the
Convert
tab. The
Convert
tab contents are displayed.

3. Select
Standalone AP
from the drop-down list.
4. Select the Access Point from the
Access Point to Convert
drop-down list.
5. Click
Convert Now
to complete the conversion. The AP now operates in the stand-alone
mode.
Converting an AP using CLI
To convert an AP to a remote AP or campus AP:
(scalance)# convert-aos-ap <mode> <controller-IP-address>
To convert an AP to a stand-alone AP or to provision an AP in the cluster mode:
(scalance)# swarm-mode <mode>
