Maintenance
– The oil level must reach the lower edge of
the bore; top up if necessary, see ⇒ Chap-
ter "Maintenance data table", P. 6-303.
ENVIRONMENT NOTE
Carefully collect any spilled oil and dispose of
it in accordance with regulations.
Checking the drive axle for leaks
– Check the gearbox housing
(2) around the
drive axle and gearbox cov
er (3) for leaks
(traces of oil).
– In the event of leaks, inform the service
team.

Checking the brake fluid level
If the message SERVICE BRAKE appears in
the display operating unit, the brake fluid level
must be checked.

parts!

Brake fluid is hazardous to your health!
– Observe the safety regulations for working with
brake fluid, see ⇒ Chapter "Brake fluid", P. 3-42.
WARNING
Risk of accident as a result of a low brake fluid level!
If the brake fluid level is low, there are leakages.
– Top up the brake fluid.
– Check the brake system for leaks and repair any
that are found.
– Do not place the truck back into operation until
the cause is repaired.
