Values of elastic modulus and hardness are affected differently by
changes in frame stiffness. As shown in
Figure 7-7, a small change in
modulus is found by an approximate change of 4e

N/m. In Figure 7-8,
the same difference in frame stiffness produced no noticeable change in
hardness.
