Chapter 13 Water Softener Option
Water Softener
The FreeStyler® can operate using a 20GPM water softener and typically requires 12GPM or less.
A base FreeStyler® can operate using the 213S OD / WA model (2 tanks). A booster pump is recommended to increase
water pressure and make up for the pressure loss through the water softener. See the image below.
If the On-Board Wheel Cleaner (Stinger) option is purchased, another 20GPM water softener is required. In this scenario, the
4-tank water softener model 213S OD / WB is necessary to soften the water. See the image below.
The water softening scenarios above do not include supplying the RO Spot-Free Rinse. A Pur-Clean™ RO unit does not
require softened water.
