Chapter 22 Initial Startup
Re-Setting the Cylinder Reed Switches
After de-stroking a cylinder, the Reed Switch must be re-set. See the images and instruction below.
Note: All cylinders have one Reed Switch except the passenger side Entrance Arm, which has 2.
1) Make sure the wheel to be reset is in the “open” position. Depending on the wheel, this position may be
extended or retracted. See the images below.
2) Once the wheel is in the proper position, loosen the Reed Switch clamp on the appropriate cylinder and slide
it until the switch is illuminated.
3) Using a marker, mark the cylinder at the location where the light first comes on.
Continue to slide the Reed Switch in the same direction until the light turns back off and mark the cylinder
at that location too.
4) Secure the clamp centered between the two marks on the cylinder.
