Chapter 22 Initial Startup
Foaming Components Setup
1) Open Triple Foam water valves completely.
Note: These controls are located in the Carriage.
Force on TF CHEM and TF WTR/AIR.
Set the chemical pumps to the supplier’s recommendations.
Increase the Tri-Foam air pressure to about 10 PSI.
Note: That control is located in the Passenger Side Pod.
Continue to increase the Tri-Foam air pressure until air blows past the chemical and then
reduce air slightly.
Note: An audible sound can be heard when air blows past the chemical.
Adjust the 3 Tri-Foam gate valves inside the exit water manifold cover to achieve the
desired “wetness”.
Note: Yellow Tri-Foam typically requires more chemical than the other colors.
Tilt the Tri-Foam Pods to get the best spray pattern on average vehicles
Turn soap back on and adjust the spray angle for the soap pods.
Clear all FORCED ovals.
Setting Cylinder Flow Controls
1) Set the cylinder flow controls as stated below.
Exit Arm Side: Green Ring on flow control
Entrance Pivot Side: Blue Ring
Top Wheel: Open 1/4 Turn (to green ring)
Ring Color
Turns open
Green

Orange
2
Blue
3
Silver
4
Red
5 (full)
Note: Never lower the top wheel when the entrance water manifold cover is open.
2) Close the entrance and exit water covers and both pod covers.
