7.1.2 Configuration
30 Configuration
The
Configuration 30 determines the control behavior with which the electric motor is controlled. The
operating instructions describe the following configurations and the relevant parameters in the third
Control level 28 (adjustment of parameter Control level 28 to value 3).
Configuration 110, IM
1
: sensor-less control
Configuration 110 contains the functions for variable-speed control of an asynchronous motor in a
wide range of standard applications (e.g. for control of fans and pumps). The motor speed is set ac-
cording to the V/f characteristic in accordance with the voltage/frequency ratio.
Configuration 410, IM: sensor-less field-orientated control (DMC)
2
C
onfiguration 410 contains the functions for sensor-less, field-orientated control of an asynchronous
motor. The current motor speed is determined from the present cur-
re
nts and voltages in combination
with the motor parameters. Separate control of torque and flux-forming current enables high drive
dynamism at a high load moment. In this configuration, parallel connection of several 3-phase motors
is possible to a limited extent only.
Co
nfiguration 610, PMSM
3
: sensor-less field-orientated control (DMC)
C
onfiguration 610 contains the functions for sensor-less, field-orientated control of a synchronous
motor. The current motor speed is determined from the present cur-
re
nts and voltages in combination
with the motor parameters. Separate control of torque and flux-forming current enables high drive
dynamism at a high load moment. This configuration is intended for the connection of a single motor.
Parallel connection of several synchronous motors is not intended and possible to a very limited extent
only.
