12/188 Safety instructions
Bosch Rexroth AG, MIT: ActiveMover, 3 842 564 874/2021-04
CAUTION
Uninterruptible power supply UPS!
Voltage may be present even when the main switch is in the OFF position!
Coming in contact with electrical components can result in injury or burns
from electric shocks.
Strong magnetic fi eld!
There is a risk of injury from strong magnetic fi elds in areas that are marked
with this danger symbol.
If workpiece pallets are not mounted on the linear motor system, they have
a strong magnetic fi eld!
- The strong magnetic fi eld of the workpiece pallets may be harmful to
people with cardiac pacemakers and other medical implants.
- The magnetic fi eld of the ActiveMover linear motor system can cause magnetic
materials to move, leading to a risk of projectiles or crushing/shearing.
- Electronic equipment and magnetic media can be infl uenced by the magnetic fi eld.
Persons with cardiac pacemakers or other medical implants must maintain
a minimum distance of 30 cm from the implant position to the workpiece pallet.
Persons with cardiac pacemakers or other medical implants are not suitable for
maintenance or service works at the system.
Keep metal objects at a distance from the workpiece pallets and the
section/curve modules.
When the workpiece pallets are not assembled, the corresponding protective
plates must be attached. Assembly instructions see page 84.
Also observe the safety instructions in chapter "General safety instructions for
magnets" on page 33.
NOTICE
Behavior in case of accidents with permanent magnets
For all works with permanent magnets, the following emergency tool must be
available in case of an accident to release trapped parts of the body (e.g. fi nger,
hand, arm, etc.):
• Hammer made of non-magnetic material (e.g. brass).
• At least two wedges with angles of approx. 10 - 15° made of non-magnetic
material such as brass, hard wood or the like for driving into the separating gap.
In case of an accident:
Keep calm.
If voltage is present, de-energize the machine immediately (emergency off switch).
Administer FIRST AID or request appropriate help (e.g. an emergency doctor).
Separate any adhering parts using the emergency tool so any trapped body
parts (e.g. fi nger, hand, foot etc.) can be freed.
To do this, drive the wedges into the separating gap using the hammer so that
the trapped body parts can be freed.
