D.3.2 Placing a Running Schedule on Hold
To place a running schedule on hold, press Hold/Run or Stop.
The
AS will finish the current method step before suspending operation.
While the schedule is on hold, the time since the last injection continues
to count up. If the schedule is put on hold during a method’s timed events,
the timed events clock is suspended until the schedule resumes. See
Section 2.7.7
for details about the clock displays.
To resume running the schedule, press
Hold/Run.
NOTE If wait is enabled on the SYSTEM PARAMETERS
screen (see Section C.6.5), the schedule is
automatically put on hold when it reaches the wait
step in a sample prep phase. The schedule will
resume running only if a TTL signal is received (see
Section E.2
) or if the Hold/Run button is pressed.
D.3.3 Stopping a Running Schedule
1. To halt a schedule, press Stop.
2. When the following message appears, press
Stop again.
When a schedule is aborted, the AS performs the following sequence of
operations:
The sampling needle arm moves to the waste port and empties any
fluid from the needle.

Press STOP again to abort.
