3.6.4 Guidelines for Sample Volumes Used, Loop Sizes, and
Injection Volumes
Sample Volumes Used for Each Type of Sample Loop Injection
Table 3-5 shows the volume of sample the AS aspirates from the sample
vial or well plate well and the volume of sample injected onto the column.
See Section 3.6.3
for descriptions of sample loop injection types and the
criteria used to determine which type of injection is performed.
The following tables give several examples for full-loop, large-loop, and
partial-loop injections. The examples show the amount of sample used
and injected for various loop sizes and injection volumes.
