5.10 Replacing the Leak Sensor
1. Remove the drip tray from the autosampler (see Section 5.5).
2. Unhook the leak sensor from the drip tray and pull out the leak sensor cable
until the connector is visible.
3. Unplug the old leak sensor and connect a new leak sensor (P/N 053669).
4. Attach the sensor to the drip tray, push the cable inside the autosampler
compartment, and reinstall the drip tray (see Section 5.6
).
NOTE Make sure the bottom wire on the leak sensor is not
touching the tray. There should be at least a paper-width
gap between it and the tray.
NOTE After installing the drip tray, make sure the tray is not
tilted to the left; if it is, liquid will not drain properly
during operation.
5. Calibrate the new sensor (see Section 5.11).
