Graphic push-button “Installation-Servicing”
Pressing the graphic push-button “Installation – Servicing” in the CNC software main page, a window mul-
ti-tab opens.
The contents of this window doesn’t refer to installation details of the line (F.I. foundations, air connec-
tions, etc…); for this type of information, refer to related documentation furnished from FICEP.
In this windows, instead, it is possible to perform some setup operations of the line: for instance the preset
value of all functional parameters, the dynamic regulation of all axes, the exact evaluation of limit switches
coordinates, etc...
All these operations are normally executed in the factory and, maybe, the default values are fine tuned in
the customer factory by FICEP technicians during installation.
Thus, normally, the operator doesn’t need to change anything; anyway for completeness, in succession, a
short description of each tab of the window.
General rule
Pressing the push-button “Installation-Servicing” a window with these tabs opens:
- Parameters
- Axis
- Analogue
- Cycles
- Configuration
- Info I/O
- PLC
To modify some displayed values or to activate the command of some push-buttons the CNC ask for a
password because many functions are protected. The operator can insert the right password pressing the
push-button “Password” (if present).

Each time the password is typed in, the colour of the selection bar or the activation of some push-buttons
changes.
The password is fixed by FICEP technician during the installation and can be modified, if the customer ask
for, directly during installation or, afterwards, via teleservice.
ATTENTION: any parameter modification carried out by inexpert can be very dangerous
for peoples and machine.
Contents of each tab
Tab “Parameters”
This tab allows to display and to modify the working parameters of some sub-systems of the line like, for
instance, carriage pincher, vice of drilling unit, drilling unit it self, etc…
To modify a parameter, select in the right frame the category of the element to modify and in the left
frame the element to modify; with modifications enabled, use the PC keyboard to type in the new value
and confirm pressing “Enter”.
Tab “Axis”
This tab allows to display and to modify all axes specific parameters; selecting an axis in the left frame it
is possible to read e to edit all its parameters in the right frame.
In the lower area of the window some graphic information on the axis dynamics and coordinate are dis-
played.
