SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND REGULATIONS
1001 DFB
Drilling & Sawing Line
Before an access door to the machine is installed through the wire-net
protections (and/or in other similar cases) it is peremptorily necessary to
connect a limit switch with positive action and double NC contact in series
with contacts of emergency push-button and then the above described
control must be carried out.
1.10 CARRIAGE MOVING PARTS PROTECTION
This protection must be so designed and built to make it impossible for any
person to accidentally contact the wirings and their supports on the carriage,
during their operation.
This protection is a MUST .This protection may consist of a wire net, of a
plate, etc. and it must have no apertures or doors.
Also, it must be sufficiently high to prevent to get close to running parts.
Should removable panels be used, make sure to interlock them with the
machine main supply line.
1.11 ANTI-HAZARD REGULATIONS TO BE COMPLIED WITH
DURING MACHINE OPERATION
According to these Standards and Regulations, one operator only is allowed
into the machine area and he must always stand by the control console.
Should he move away from this area, he must switch-off the system.
The use of the machine in set-up mode (activated by the key type selector
switch and – for machines fitted with – automatically activated at the
passing through of the photoelectric barrier) must be limited to operations
of: part loading/unloading, tool change and external lubrication orienting.
The use of the machine in manual mode presupposes an adequate know-how
of same, and it is reserved to skilled operators only.
Machine residual risks are substantially limited to one case as follows:
The residual risk of breakage of the tool when drilling exists. In order to
reduce this risk we recommend to:
not approach the spindle when it is drilling (staying however outside
the protecting barriers perimeter of the machine, otherwise the
automatic stop is activated)
program the drilling forward according to the recommendations
given by the manufacturer of the drill, and to provide often
sharpening operations to keep the drill in perfect working conditions
