1.8 SAFETY
During the machine operation both in automatic mode (continuous or step
by step cycle) and in manual mode, the operator must stand in the working
position as indicated in the layout near to the CNC console but anyway the
access to the machine area delimited by the safety barriers is absolutely
forbidden to operator.
The machine safety barriers include: the stationary perimetrical protections
(yellow painted metal fences), doors and photoelectric barriers.
The barriers perimeter contains the whole system.
The transfer tables are devoted only to the structural steel sections storage
and cannot be used for purposes different from the ones they have been
studied for.
When the reset of the photoelectric barrier is made by means of the barriers
reset push button, it is necessary to verify that no person is present within
the area protected by the safety barriers.
When the Operators enters into the protected area, the machine
automatically changes to an intermediate safety state (setup operative
mode). In the setup mode all the axes movements are stopped, and only the
execution of some single operations is possible as follows: orientation tests,
tool insertion in and from the spindle and the saw band change.
Therefore the Operator must approach the machine only to execute the
above operations and for a short time to perform three manual actions as
follows:
removal of small sawing chips from the saw table
tool change in the tools holder
drill external lubrication jet orienting.
When staying within the machine area Operator must not stop under the
spindle nor in the stroke way of the CNC axes, that is: carriage, drilling unit
gaugeline and saw rotation and sawing forward.
