4.3.12 Tool change device
The drill head is fitted with one:
- Tool change device with the following technical features:
adaptor size
ISO 45
no. of tools to be fitted
6
Tool selection and tool entry and exit operations are automatically CNC controlled (refer
to instruction manual section 4 and 5).
4.3.13 Inspection of the drilling unit positioning
Make sure, when setting up the machine, that the drilling unit does not interfere, when in
operation, with the section in process.
Also make sure that the drilling unit will not hit anything when at the end of the stroke.
It is therefore very important that the limit switches are in good working conditions and
that the cams will operate to the best of their efficiency.
4.3.14 Flanges probe sensing device SETUP
On the clamp mobile jaw of the vice it is fitted the device for the automatic correction of
the gaugeline zero reference on the real axis of the beam, referred to the spindle in vertical
“C” position. The device consists of a probe (sensing unit) connected to the CNC unit.
The probe sensing device does not need of any particular adjustment.
4.3.15 Web probe sensing device SETUP (optional)
The probe sensing devices do not require any particular adjustment.
If the sections dimensions are within good tolerance values, it is possible to exclude the
probe sensing device from the working cycle thus increasing considerably the run time
cycle and the productivity of the machine.
The probe sensing device consists of a pneumatic probe which picks-up the true position of
the web.
