4.3.8 Clamp setup
We call clamp setup the operation involving the fitting of additional special tooling
(optional) to the vertical clamps.
The clamp operates in unilateral clamping mode.
This means that one only jaw moves whereas the other one remains stationary.
We suggest to position the mobile jaw at approx. 20 mm. from the section flange, to
considerably reduce the time required by the clamp closing cycle during the machine
operation.
The above operation is obtained by depressing the suitable control push buttons. Perform
this operation by referring to the portion of section clamped inside the jaws or by
measuring the jaws opening before entering the section into the clamping zone.
