Verifying the correct axes displacement
At any moment it is possible to check if the true covered distance by an axis corresponds with the pro-
grammed displacement.
To do that follow the procedure below.
1. In the “Execution” window read the coordinate of the axis to check; if the coordinate is not present
open the jog window and select the desired axis;
2. Write the coordinate on a sheet of paper;
3. Visibly scratch on a fixed part of the machine a reference mark corresponding to a chosen point of
the axis;
4. Move the axis in manual mode till any other position;
5. Read the new coordinate of the axis;
6. Note on the sheet the new coordinate;
7. Visibly scratch on the same fixed part of the machine the new position of the same chosen point of
the axis;
8. Calculate the absolute value of the difference between the two coordinates;
9. Measure with a meter (or, better, with a callipers) the distance between two marks;
10. Calculated value and measured value must be exactly the same.
