Variants for basic nesting procedure: manual nesting
The operator can carry out a manual nesting procedure fixing himself quantity, position and possible rota-
tion for each type of piece.
Window for nesting operations; in the zone n. 19 the
list of pieces to be nested; if not, press “ESC” to come
back to programming general window and select the
pieces to nest.

A cell n. 17 (quantity) in the
zone n. 19 (pieces to nest) is
in blue colour
The operator select the quantity field “QTA” of the
piece he wants to nest.
If needed the operator ask for piece rotation pressing
the push-button “Rotation”. This option is valid for all
pieces of the same type. A rotated piece is marked by
green line number.
The operator types in the number of pieces to nest in
the bar shown in the zone n. 2 and confirms pressing
“Enter”.
The content of cell n. 17 (quantity) in the zone n. 14
(pieces arranged in the bar) is increased of the same
number of inserted pieces and, at the same time, the
drawing in the zone n. 2 is updated.

The operator continues to nest the pieces till the sur-
plus of the bar is more little than the more little piece
to nest or till he finishes the pieces to nest.
Saving of present nesting
When a bar is completed the operator can press the
push-button “Save” and the system shows the re-
quired number of bars. The operator must confirm
pressing “OK” or reject pressing “Cancel”.
If some pieces are still to be nested the operator can
start a new manual nesting; in this case quantities and
drawing are cleared and the nest operations continue
till there are pieces to nest.
The operator can check or execute the nesting carried
out.
