4.2.3 Electronic drives and electrical supply checks
After the general inspections are carried out, the Servicing and Maintenance
Engineer must make sure of the following:
no person, other than the machine operator and the service engineer, is
in the machine area or in the vicinity of the electrical equipment
the input supply voltage at the main switch has:
a correct nominal value with a maximum deviation of 10 %
symmetrical phases
make sure that the safety limit switch installed on the door of the main
board is in enabling position (pulling it out all the way); in fact, since
the cabinet doors is opened it would be impossible to connect the
circuits
close the main automatic breaker switch
make sure that the power supply to the CNC is correct
switch on and off the hydraulic equipment by depressing in alternation
the appropriate push-buttons; make sure that the hydraulic power unit
motor is rotating in the correct direction, as per arrows provided on the
motor itself.
switch on again the auxiliary circuits and make sure to disconnect them
right away should one of the controlled axes move.
In the event that no abnormal conditions are observed, switch-off the main
breaker, and close the cabinet door.
