4.3.16 Saw jaws setup
We call jaws setup the operation involving the fitting of additional special tooling
(optional) to the standard jaws.
The jaw operates in unilateral clamping mode.
This means that one only jaw moves whereas the other one remains stationary.
We suggest to position the mobile jaw at approx. 20 mm. from the section flange, to
considerably reduce the time required by the jaw closing cycle during the machine
operation.
4.3.17 Saw setup
- Band mounting and band guide adjustment.
- Adjustment of the feedrate parameters.
Sawing feedrate adjustment depends on the type of section, the thicknesses and the
strength of material, therefore cm
2
/ minute of material to be sawn values can vary from 20
upto 60.
