Managing the configuration
Administrators can back up, restore, save, or initialize the device configuration.
Backing up the configuration
Configuration backup provides the following functions:
• Open and view the configuration file for the next startup.
• Back up the configuration file for the next startup to the host of the administrator.
To back up the configuration:
1. Select Device > Configuration from the navigation tree.
The Backup page appears.

2. Click the Backup button.
The file download dialog box appears.
3. Select to view the .cfg file or to save the file to the local host.
Restoring the configuration
This module uploads the .cfg file on the host of the administrator to the device for the next startup.
To restore the configuration:
1. Select Device > Configuration from the navigation tree.
2. Click the Restore tab.
The page for restoring the configuration appears.

3. Click the Browse button.
