Network requirements
As shown in Figure 79, create an entry in the RMON Ethernet statistics table to gather statistics on
GigabitEthernet 1/0/1, and perform corresponding configurations so that the system logs the event
when the number of bytes received on the interface exceeds the configured threshold within a specific
period.

Configuration procedure
1. Configure RMON to gather statistics for GigabitEthernet 1/0/1:
a. Select Device > RMON from the navigation tree.
The Statistics page appears.
b. Click Add.
The page in Figure 80 appears.
c. Select GigabitEthernet1/0/1 from the Interface Name list and enter user1-rmon in the Owner
field.
d. Click Apply.
