for a library with a single logical partition.
Monitor Library: Drive Identity
This page provides the following detailed information about the drive. No changes can be made from
here. The displayed information varies depending on the library model and drive type (SCSI, SAS, or
Fibre Channel). Table 29 lists all available elements on the Drive Identity page. An "X" indicates that the
element displays for the specified drive type.

The unique identification number of the tape drive that
was assigned by the manufacturer.

Version Only Version 2 (V2) half height drives have a separate
version line with the number 2.

Firmware
Revision
The current level of firmware that is installed on the
drive. To ensure that you are running the latest version
of firmware, visit http://www.ibm.com. For information

SCSI ID The unique identifier that is assigned to the SCSI drive
to enable it to receive communications from the host
computer.

Address
The unique identifier that is assigned to the drive that
allows the host to recognize and communicate with the
drive.

Control Path
Drive
If the drive communicates all messages from the host to
the library, then it is considered the control path drive.
If the drive is the control path drive, this element
displays "Yes." If not, this element displays "No." All
drives in a logical library might be a control path drive.
