1. Press the [DIR] soft button on LIP-8000/8000E/LIP-9000 & LDP-9240D that have soft &
navigation buttons.
To search name through LDAP only for LIP-8000/8000E/LIP-9000 & LDP-9240D
2. Dial ‘4’.
3. Enter the desired name for searching.
4. Press [Search] soft button.
Matched name is displayed on LCD.
The name can be scrolled by using navigation key.
5. To display the number of the searched name, press [DETAIL] soft button.
6. Press [SEND] soft button to call.

To search name by System DB and LDAP only for LIP-8000/8000E/LIP-9000& LDP-9240D that
have soft key and Navigation button.
2. Dial ‘5’.
3. Enter the desired name for searching.
4. Press [Search] soft button.
Matched name that is in system DB is displayed on LCD.
The name can be scrolled by using navigation key.
If there is no result for searching name, the [LDAP] soft button will be displayed.
If the user presses [LDAP] soft button, the name will be searched in LDAP server.
5. To display the number of the searched name, Press [DETAIL] soft button.
6. Press [SEND] soft button to call.
Conditions
1. Available characters are A to Z, space and period.
2. The LCD will display multiple names, one per LCD line up to 12 characters.
3. If you select a directory with no entries or there is no match to the entry, the “No
Entries” message is displayed and error tone is provided.
4. Dial-by-Name is only available to iPECS IP and LDP Phones with a display. Other
users will receive error tone if an attempt is made to access Dial-by-Name.
5. You may both scroll and enter characters to search a directory.
6. The search feature (LDAP and All Search) is functioned for only LIP-80xx/80xxE/90xx
phone and LDP-9240D with 3 soft button and navigation button.
7. After inputting digits more than 3, the searching is enable.
8. When a name is searched in LDAP server, maximum 40 names can be searched.
9. Maximum 50 keysets in eMG800/UCP (20 keysets in eMG80) can be the searched
name list(from LDAP) state at the same time.
