Other pre-recorded prompts stored in the VMIB memory are fixed and cannot be changed by
the Attendant.
A greeting can be recorded locally by the Attendant or, when defined as a CCR destination,
from a remote location. In the latter case, the CCR Table must include the Remote Record
destination. The caller may then use the remote access procedure to record a greeting.
Operation
To record System Greetings from Attendant;
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button and dial ‘0 6’.
2. Dial the desired announcement number (001 ~ 070). The recording instruction
“Press the # key to record.” plays followed by any previous recording for the
announcement.
3. Dial ‘#’ and start recording after the beep, or to record external music dial ‘*’ to hear
the external source then ‘#’ to record external music
4. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button to stop and store the recording.
To delete a System Greetings from Attendant,
1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button.
2. Dial the code ‘0 6’.
3. Dial the appropriate message number, the recording is played.
4. Press the [SPEED] button while the message is playing.
To record a greeting from remote CCR access;
1. Dial the digit assigned for Remote record access in the CCR Table.
2. Dial the System Attendant Authorization code
3. Dial the System Greeting number (00~70) and follow the recording instructions
4. Dial ‘#’ to start recording.
5. Press the ‘#’ to save the recording
Consideration
Pressing the [On/Off] button while recording, will stop and store recording the recording.
System Greetings and prompts can be recorded at the System Attendant or can be
downloaded to the system in the maintenance mode.
There is no time limit for an individual System Greeting or prompt.
To record or delete a System Greeting or prompt, all the VMIB ports must be idle state.
When a call is transferred to an Attendant, the ‘Transfer to Attendant’ prompt followed by
ring-back tone is presented to the caller.
If a System Greeting or prompt is not recorded, tone will be heard.
The VMIB can maintain 800 messages including user greetings, voice messages, and
two-way recordings.
If a recording exceeds the VMIB memory capacity, recording is terminated and the
previous recording, if any, is stored.
The System Attendant must have VMIB Access enabled to record a greeting or prompt.
